Stephanie Bruce (vocals)



Stephanie Bruce is a singer, songwriter, arranger, pianist, teacher, and producer who has been performing and teaching music in a variety of styles for over three decades. Her original compositions draw on several influences including jazz, contemporary Brazilian, blues, folk, pop, and classical. Her arrangements of familiar material are approached with imagination, using adventurous reharmonizations, and fresh approaches to rhythmic groove. Stephanie has released three CD’s and she has had a long career performing in clubs, and doing concerts in the Bay Area and abroad. She is also an active and sought after vocal teacher and taught for 5 years at the Blue Bear School in San Francisco, and 9 years at the Jazzschool in Berkeley. The wide variety of styles and moods represented in her music are held together with the cohesive thread of her personal sound and perspective.
